How Do I Meet People?

Calvary Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be involved in our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Calvary Baptist Church.

Adult Bible Fellowship

In today’s day and age, we don’t have many opportunities to read and study God’s word together. For that reason, Calvary Baptist Church holds small group Bible studies on Sunday Mornings at 9:45 a.m. We have classes for men and women as well as co-ed classes. We encourage you to come and join us as we dig deeper into God’s word.

Youth Ministry

At Calvary Baptist Church, our Youth Program (6th-12th graders) is a valuable resource for our teenagers and their families. Our ministry team is unified in the pursuit of maturing our young people within a framework of sound Biblical teaching, strong discipleship and mentoring. Bible study is at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Children’s Ministry

Loving and qualified volunteers are ready to care for children each Sunday.  The nursery is available during Sunday School at 9:45 as well as during the Worship Service at 11:00 for birth through 3 year olds.

There are age graded Sunday School classes for children 4 years of age through 5th grade. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn.

During the morning worship hour there is Children’s Church for 4 year olds through -2nd grade.

Children’s ministry includes camps, Vacation Bible School and field trips.

Sunday Evening Bible Study: 6:00 p.m.

On Sunday evenings our pastor uses scripture to equip Christ followers to share their faith.

Sanctuary Choir

If you love to sing, here is your opportunity.  Join our Sanctuary Choir.  There is a place for you!

Wednesday Prayer Meeting and Bible Study: 6:00 p.m.

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Calvary is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. members of Calvary join together for a time of prayer. We pray for the church, our pastor and staff, and special request for physical, emotional and spiritual needs we are made aware of.  Prayer time is followed by a time of Bible study.

Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study

Calvary Baptist men gather the second Saturday of each month for breakfast and Bible study.

Young at Heart

Those 55 and over are encouraged to come to “Young at Heart” at 11:00 am the first Tuesday of each month. Senior adults from all over the Anna area come together for a pot luck lunch, game time and great fellowship and fun.

Mission Outreach

Calvary is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending and supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We support both local and foreign missionaries. Our hope is that each year, a small team from our church will travel and assist missionaries in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

The team of ushers at Calvary Baptist Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Calvary Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools whenever possible for kingdom purposes. During the time of COVID 19, Sunday services are live streamed on FaceBook @ Calvary Baptist Church Anna Texasrmats.

If you have talents or gifts in this area we would love to have your help!
